PROJECT GRBAC
Perennially chic Juli Grbac of Project Runway fame was already renowned in her home town of Brisbane for timeless elegant pieces in fluid fabrics with a girly innocence, but last night Grbac showed the world’s media what we already knew.
Making her RAFW debut to a massive crowd @ The Cargo Theatre, the Collection was a stunning illustration of her trademark pretty dresses, flowing gowns & an abundance of pleats and drapery.
A refreshing injection of more tailored pieces, not yet seen from Grbac, included this season’s strong shoulder lines in beautiful silk, heavily embellished jackets.
A stellar inauguration to Australia’s top fashion week.

NOSTALGIC BRUNSDON
Jayson Brunsdon did not disappoint last night with his nostalgic, 50’s inspired collection. Beautifully tailored pieces and flowing floor length dresses were the star attraction @ RAFW’s Cargo Theatre.
Brunsdon sites his mother, Dorothy, as his muse for this Collection with a return to simplicity. Shirtdresses, shorts & sundresses in inconspicuously luxurious fabrics.
After a tough personal year this is Brunsdon’s first full show @ RAFW since 2006.

SWIMWEAR GROUP SHOW HEATS UP RAFW
Today’s Swimwear Group Show certainly heat up an otherwise chilly Sydney day.
April Marie Swimwear opened with former Miss Universe Laura Dundovic & some seriously hot shoes (see pics).
The tempo stayed up with White Sands & a grand pair of Wittner boots in tan (Axel: $429.95, also available in black). Tribal chic from white sands with a dash of elegant black.
Kini Bikini sauntered crochet inspirations that left nothing to the imagination.

ANKLE BOOTS & LEGGINGS FOR FASH-PACK
Couture de jour today @ a chilly RAFW is overwhelmingly ankle boots & leggings.
The fash-pack is teetering along in them with consistent regularity. Loving Voodoo’s new denim look skinny pants leggings – ultra comfortable & oh-so-chic.
My current obsession is YSL's Cage ankle boot… If you’re happy to make the crazy investment, mine were procured @ Miss Louise (Collins St, Melbourne).

FINETTI ARCHITECTURALISM A TRUE CLASSIC
Fashionista favourite, Nicola Finetti featured in Alex Perry’s usual spot on Monday night, with beautiful architectural pieces that will most certainly become wardrobe staples.
1920’s Art Deco, bold & powerful were his inspiration this collection. Futuristic, yet classic, sums up this collection with lux blacks, some bold colour & courageous mini’s. Shoes & couture to die for!

COOPER NOT MISUNDERSTOOD - HE ROCKED!
Day 1 @ RAFW wasn’t for the faint hearted. Only those with stamina & feet of steel were able to see this one out!
Despite the painful one hour wait, Wayne Cooper’s show was definitely worth it. With its Rock & roll theme the Collection was inspired by strong women like Jerry Hall & Deborah Harry.
Boobs, legs, slicked hair & reds lips – very sexy stuff. With an action packed front row including; girlfriend Heidi Houghting, Peter O’Brien, Miranda & Gracie Otto, Kerri-Anne Kennerly, Sarah Murdoch, Alex Perry & Jonathan Pease, Cooper’s show lead with the tune ‘ Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood’ & had all the ingredients for success, including the presence ex-partner Sarah Marsh & their children Ruby & Jude. Class act guys, it’s all about the kids.
Wayne has definitely claimed back his crown.

SKY-HIGH HEELS CLAIM ONE ALREADY...
Here's hoping there’s no ‘Bambi’s first steps’ impersonations @ Wayne Cooper or Nicola Finetti tonight. Ginger & Smart this morning saw one down (see culprit, left). Sky-high stilettos & polished runways, always scary...
Keep you posted!

KILLEEN WIGS OUT
It seems Gretel Killeen is still reluctant to show off her new crop to the public, even when appearing on last night’s Rove. Killeen sported a brunette wig masquerading her new look, adding further to speculation that it won’t be revealed until she emerges for her first-time hosting gig @ the Logies.
Could this wig be one of Haddad’s collection…?
